Even though the lockdown has been lifted in most parts of the country, it is still advisable for us all to stay indoors as much as possible. Now we at #POPxo understand that like most of us, you too are missing your regular salon visits. But what if we told you that you can easily give your skin the pampering it deserves right in your home? Sounds exciting, right? Watch along as in today’s episode of #POPxoSkincareSecrets we show you how you can give your skin a rejuvenating face spa at home.
Step 1: Cleanse your skin
Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water – Rs. 225
Episoft Cleansing Lotion – Rs. 300
Cleansing is essentially making sure that you get rid of any dirt, grime, or makeup on your skin. It is usually done in two steps, first is using a cleanser, followed by your regular face wash.
Step 2: Steam
The second step is steam. For this, you can use a steamer or just boil some water in a utensil and use that. Steam opens up your pores and allows for a deeper cleanse. It helps loosen any buildup of dirt and also softens blackheads, making them easier to remove. It promotes blood circulation as well.
Step 3: Exfoliate & unclog pores
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask – Rs. 900
Now we come to exfoliation. This is an important step to get rid of any dead skin cells, black or whiteheads, and leaves your skin looking smoother and brighter. For this step, you can use a scrub or a clay mask.
Step 4: Sheet mask + jade roller
GLOW by MyGlamm Iridescent Brightening Sheet Mask – Rs. 199
Bronson Professional Jade Roller Face Massager – Rs. 1000
It is time for a sheet mask followed by a jade roller.
Sheet masks have hydrating serums that lend to rejuvenating, plumping, and firming your skin. It is a great way to also detoxify. Using a jade roller over the sheet mask ensures that the serum is getting better absorbed in the skin. It also reduces puffiness and further boosts blood circulation.
Step 5: Toner
GLOW by MyGlamm Iridescent Brightening Toner – Rs. 995
The toner is an important step for any skincare routine. It reduces the appearance of pores, restores the pH balance of your skin, reduces acne and blackheads, hydrates, and evens out the skin tone. The benefits are endless.
Step 6: Moisturizer + serum
GLOW by MyGlamm Iridescent Brightening Moisturising Cream – Rs. 1595
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Capsule In Serum – Rs. 800
After toner, it is time for moisturising the face. This is where you need to focus on what your skin type is before selecting your moisturiser or your serum. Go with a hydrating product if your skin is dry, and go for a lighter gel based product.
Step 7: Lip scrub
M.A.C Lip Scrubtious Primer – Rs. 1600
And now just quickie to focus on the lips. Starting with a lip scrub, get rid of that dead skin for a fuller, plumper pout.
Step 8: Lip balm
M.A.C Lip Conditioner Hydratant – Rs. 1600
Follow this up with a moisturizing lip balm, and that’s it.
